Update on IP rights in the UK during the Brexit transition period and beyond

The UK has left the EU, but intellectual property rights in the UK are all for the transition period (which currently ends at 11 p.m. on December 31, 2020), in which the UK continues to be treated as part of the EU very similar from the perspective of EU legislation. At the end of the transition, the UK government will grant replacement rights for the former EU-wide rights that were current at the end of the transition, but everything is not as easy as it sounds.
