Sony has announced a new campaign called "Ready for" PlayStation 5“For the existing line of Bravia TVs, so players know exactly which display is optimized for next generation games.
While this announcement does not reveal a selection of new displays, it does show exactly which will work perfectly with the upcoming PS5 console at 4K and 120 fps.
Some of the first televisions with the "Ready for PlayStation 5" brand are the models XH90 4K HDR Full Array LED and ZH8 8K HDR Full Array LED. The former can run up to 4K resolutions at 120 fps and a relatively low input latency of 7.2 ms.
The ZH8 can again display incredibly detailed images with a resolution of 8K and 120 frames per second. However, Sony notes that this resolution will vary widely depending on the game played. Such a disclaimer does not apply to the service. As a result, 120 fps may become an industry standard for next generation consoles.

“Ready for PlayStation 5 TV models also offer BRAVIA game mode, which allows users to automatically play low-latency games on the PS5 console. Thanks to the BRAVIA game mode, the DualSense wireless controller enables users to activate both TV and PS5 at the same time and control their PS5 seamlessly only with the TV remote control, ”says the official press release.
Sony will release a firmware update for existing owners of these TVs in the future, presumably before the PS5 is released. When exactly the next generation console comes on the market remains unclear, as does the price. However, we know that it will arrive before the end of 2020.
