Nintendo Switch Animal Crossing fans better start saving some cash | Gaming | Entertainment | Global News Everyday

Animal Crossing fans have had some good and bad news before the New Horizons release date Nintendo Switch, Animal Crossing New Horizons will be launched on March 20, exclusively for the Nintendo Handheld / Home Console Hybrid. And there's good news for die-hard fans of the series, though it will cost you.

Nintendo has just launched a brand new Animal Cross New Horizons console.

The Animal Crossing Nintendo Switch console, available from March 13, is equipped with pastel green and blue Joy-Con controllers. The Joy-Cons are white on the back and have white bracelets.

The switch dock has also been redesigned to include new colors and images of characters like Tom Nook and Nooklings Timmy and Tommy.

The themed Nintendo Switch console will be launched on the same day as the Aloha Edition carrying case and Animal Crossing: New Horizons screen protector.

The tote bags, which are available in regular and lite versions, are decorated with special animal crossing patterns.

Of course, that means die-hard Animal Crossing fans and collectors have to get a few hundred pounds more out, but at least it looks cool.

Elsewhere, Nintendo has some bad news for long-time Animal Crossing fans.

According to the Animal Crossing website, the number of islands players can create is limited with the Nintendo Switch version.

The site confirms that while the game supports sharing, only one island is allowed on a single console. This means that you cannot have multiple islands on the same system.

"Up to 8 players with registered accounts on a Nintendo Switch console can live on a common island, and up to four residents of an island can play on one console at the same time," a Nintendo post said.

"Please note: There can only be one island per Nintendo Switch console, regardless of the number of registered user accounts or copies of the game used on a console."
