Forth, a Chepstow-based medical healthcare company, was recognized as a finalist in two categories of the Wales Start Up Awards – Med Tech Start-up and Digital Start-up. The awards, launched by Professor Dylan Jones-Evans OBE and now in their fourth year, recognize the accomplishments of those who "had a great idea, saw a chance, and took the risk of starting it." The winners will be announced on September 18, 2020.
Forth has seen significant growth over the past year, with a successful £ 500,000 investment in the Development Bank of Wales, being recognized as the best Welsh innovation and launching new products, including the Covid-19 antibody test. There are four ways to help people take responsibility for good health, with a range of biomarker fingerprint tests for home bites such as male and female hormones, nutritional values, vitamin D, and a basic test.
Sarah Bolt, CEO of Forth, commented on the development as follows:
“It has never been more important than now to take care of ourselves and to be in good health. Recent events have focused on this and we have made this accessibility available to everyone through our digital platform. We are delighted to have been shortlisted for both categories and are proud to be based in Wales, where there is an emerging start-up community. "
Forth is currently conducting a national survey to assess how Covid-19 has affected mental health and is preparing to launch a menopause campaign that will give women access to perimenopause and menopause without that they have to go to their local family doctor.
