Oculus, a Facebook-owned company, has released a new version of its Quest virtual reality headset that includes several technical upgrades.
Quest 2 is Oculus & # 39; "Display with the highest resolution ever" with 50% more pixels and weighs less than the original device released in 2018.
Processor and memory boosts will offer enough to "enable even more impressive experiences," the technology giant announced on Wednesday.
The controllers have also been redesigned to ensure better ergonomics and longer battery life.
The headset starts shipping October 13th from £ 299.
Titles that will be available on Quest 2 include Star Wars: Tales from the Edge of the Galaxy, Beat Saber Multiplayer, Jurassic World Aftermath, The Climb 2, Myst and Warhammer 40,000 Battle Sister, as well as two new VR entries in the Assassin & # 39; s Creed and Tom Clancy & # 39; s Splinter Cell Universes.
Oculus used its Facebook Connect event to highlight a number of developments in virtual reality, including a new VR fitness experience called Oculus Move that people can use to exercise at home.
