Brazil’s coronavirus death toll passes 100,000 – health ministry

(Reuters) – Brazil reported 49,970 new cases of the novel coronavirus and 905 deaths from disease caused by the virus in the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Health said on Saturday.

Brazil has recorded 3,012,412 cases of the virus since the pandemic began, while the official death toll from COVID-19 has risen to 100,447 in the world's worst coronavirus outbreak after the US, according to the ministry.
